Privacy Policy - AfterImage
Last updated: 16 June 2026
AfterImage ("the app", "we", "us") is a single-player arcade game. This policy explains what data the app handles and which third-party services it uses.
We do not ourselves collect, store, or sell personal data. AfterImage has no account system, no analytics SDK, and no backend server of its own. The only data that leaves your device is handled by Google's advertising service, and only if you choose to watch an optional ad - described below.
Data stored on your device
The app stores the following locally on your device only:
- High scores and game progress.
- Settings and preferences (e.g. haptics on/off).
Uninstalling the app removes this local data.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
AfterImage offers optional rewarded ads - for example, to revive and continue a run. Ads are served by the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). When an ad is requested, Google may collect and process data including your device's advertising identifier (AAID), IP address, and general device information to serve and measure ads. This requires Internet access. If you never trigger an ad, no ad request is made.
You can reset or limit ad personalization at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
Google's collection and use of this data is described in:
Device permissions
| INTERNET | Used only by the Google Mobile Ads SDK to load ads. |
|---|---|
| AD_ID | Access to the Android advertising ID for ad serving. |
| VIBRATE | Haptic feedback during gameplay. No data is collected. |
Children
AfterImage is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because ads may be served, the app is intended for general audiences rather than a child-directed audience.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
